Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis is 63 years old, and for the first time in three decades, someone will pay for Tupac Shakur’s death.
A Las Vegas jury took less than three hours to find him guilty of first-degree murder. He was not the one who pulled the trigger that night on September 7, 1996, but according to prosecutors, he was the one who organized everything and handed over the gun.
Tupac, just 25 years old, had gone to the MGM Grand that night to watch Mike Tyson fight Bruce Seldon. Hours later, while traveling alongside Suge Knight, he was shot and killed. It all began hours earlier, when Davis’s nephew was beaten at the casino by people from the rapper’s entourage.
Davis is now awaiting sentencing on October 13, and could spend the rest of his life in prison. He has already said that he will appeal.
