A historic milestone of inclusion and physical endurance was recorded in the capital of Denmark when two brothers completed one of the most demanding sporting events in the world.

The 34-year-old twins named Steen and Peder Mondrup managed to cross the finish line at the Copenhagen Ironman in August 2014. Due to a lack of oxygen when he was born prematurely, Peder was left in a wheelchair, but his brother Steen took on the physical strain of the race.

Under the name “Team Tvilling”, the team completed the course in 15 hours 42 minutes and 38 seconds, later founding a social support organization.
