According to TMZ, two ambulances arrived at the scene in Greenville, South Carolina, and emergency crews brought out stretchers to enter the building. However, both ambulances ultimately left without transporting any patients.
The detail drew attention because police sources cited by the outlet indicate that Panettiere may not have been the only person inside the home when emergency services arrived.
The actress was found unconscious around 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 16. Paramedics performed resuscitation efforts and advanced life support, but she was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. The autopsy performed this Monday found no signs of trauma, while the official cause and manner of death have not yet been determined. Authorities have also found no indication that it was a crime.
The audio of the emergency call has also provided new details: dispatch received information about a person in cardiac arrest and a possible overdose, although this does not mean that this was the definitive cause of her death.
