From kindergarten in Oklahoma, two boys named Pryce Jackson and Kyran English decided to be her protectors. Madison has Down syndrome, and without anyone asking them to, they became her kind shadows: they accompanied her through crowded hallways, ate with her every day, and held her hand on every field trip.
It wasn’t an obligation; it was pure friendship. And the affection went both ways: when Kyran got a bad grade in third grade and started to cry, Madison was the one who ran to comfort him first.
In 2021, the three of them graduated together. Madison’s father took a photo of the trio in caps and gowns that went viral and inspired millions. Pryce and Kyran kept a childhood promise: they were the older brothers Madison had always needed. 💛
