The polyamorous family made up of Taya, Sean, Alysia, and Tyler began their story in 2019 when two married couples met online looking to “keep things exciting”.
After a year of contact, they decided to start a relationship that today has them living together and sharing the upbringing of two children, whose biological paternity they have decided not to know because, as Taya explains, “we don’t know and we don’t want to know, we said that we would all be parents to all of them”.
Each of the women has her own bedroom, and the men rotate each night to sleep with one or the other, while the children grow up in an environment where they call all four “mom” and “dad”, never wondering who fathered them or making biological distinctions.
Although the family has faced rejection from people who do not understand polyamory and consider it deviant, Taya says that most of their inner circle supports them, and that although the relationship is not always easy and jealousy sometimes appears, today it is so natural for everyone that she could not imagine raising her children any other way.
