Two players from Antigua and Barbuda were sent off for pulling a rival’s hair during a Concacaf Nations League match. The curious thing is that both did the same thing to Aedan Scipio, an Anguilla footballer known for his very long dreadlocks.

The unusual incident happened on Saturday, September 26, when Antigua and Barbuda were leading 5-0. Scipio came onto the field in the 69th minute and, just a few minutes later, Keon Greene pulled his hair after losing the ball to him. The referee had no hesitation in showing him a red card.

But the situation was repeated in stoppage time. This time it was Shalon Knight who grabbed the player’s dreadlocks to stop him, and he was also sent off. As a result, his national team finished the match with just nine players.

Although the two red cards drew attention, Antigua and Barbuda maintained their lead and won 5-0. Images of the incidents quickly circulated on social media, where many were surprised by what happened.
