They got off. They helped her up. They straightened out the bicycle. Just as anyone would expect a good neighbor to do. The woman, identified as Mrs. Zhu, 71, had fallen while swerving to avoid a car coming out of a curve. Traffic police reviewed the footage and confirmed something crucial: there had never been a collision between the scooter and the bicycle. It was classified as a ‘no-contact accident’.
However, there’s the irony that has half the internet debating: the woman sued them for 224.307 yuan, about 34.000 dollars, claiming that their sudden appearance startled her and caused her to lose her balance. The girls’ parents say they are already suffering psychological trauma. The court accepted the case. Surely, the girls will think twice before stopping to help someone. 😳
