Bronson Battersby, just two years old, lost his life due to starvation after the sudden death of his father from a heart attack, leaving him alone and without access to food or water in their home in Lincolnshire, England.
A social worker contacted the father on December 27, 2023 and scheduled a visit for January 2, 2024, but received no response, so she made a second visit on January 4. Only then did she alert the police, with whom she entered on January 9, discovering little Bronson’s body curled up on his father’s legs.
The investigation determined that the man died from a sudden cardiac event and that the child showed clear signs of malnutrition and dehydration, without being able to establish the exact date of their deaths.
