Colombian singer Shakira thrilled thousands of people after inviting the children of the Ghetto Kids Foundation, from Uganda, to dance alongside her during the halftime show of the 2026 World Cup final.

The group went viral on social media thanks to their high-energy choreographies to “Dai Dai”, the tournament’s official song performed by Shakira and Burna Boy.
The Ghetto Kids are young dancers from Kampala who have won over the internet with videos in which they combine talent, joy, and personal growth.

Shakira herself was impressed by their performances and decided to invite them to share the stage with her at one of the most-watched sporting events in the world, a gesture that was celebrated by millions of fans.
The story also brought the Ugandan foundation back into the spotlight, recognized for helping vulnerable children through music and dance.
For many, this invitation represents much more than a show: it is a unique opportunity for these young people to fulfill a dream before the whole world.
