The ban on buying tobacco for all people born since January 1, 2009 is now law, a measure that seeks to prevent new generations from starting to smoke, thus creating the country’s first “smoke-free” generation.
The regulation also tightens the rules for vapers, limiting their advertising, flavors, and use in places where there are children, such as parks, schools, and hospitals.
Although some politicians criticized the decision and promised to eliminate it in the future, health organizations celebrated the new law as a historic change that could prevent thousands of cancer cases in the coming decades. 👏🏻
