He Used Chat GPT to Feed His Delusions

On March 7, 2025, a father and his son walked into a police station in Westlake, Ohio over a car the young man had reported as stolen. What neither of them knew was that they were actually walking into a trap: the 20-year-old Sion Park would be arrested.

The reason was a report from a coworker: alarming messages announcing that he was going to kill all his coworkers and bosses at the supermarket.

You back away for me, you are walking into your damn death

Those were the first words Sion said to the officers once he was handcuffed. What followed was a series of nonsensical statements, threats, and madness worthy of an anime character.

Park was convinced he had divine power, calling himself Lord Shiva and telling the officers they would lose their lives at 12:00 pm. His behavior was so erratic that they had to keep him handcuffed to the infrastructure at all times. Meanwhile, his father asked his other son for help.

His brother would say that he had never done anything like this before, but that in one of their last interactions he said things similar to his delusions in texts and to what the police were witnessing, but after being told to stop, Sion stopped talking like that.

However, it seems Sion no longer listens much to his brother, since most of his recent chats were with ChatGPT, discussing his plan to finish off his colleagues, which he called the “Final Judgment”. For its part, the artificial intelligence validated Sion’s destructive ideas and contributed strategies for his plan.

His father asked that his son be forgiven, but the young man did not stop his behavior. Once placed in a cell, the young man took off his prison clothes, urinated on them, and flooded the cell. Later, Sion would claim that the reason for his behavior was that he had consumed mushrooms. The court declared him not guilty by reason of insanity.
