The bull gave no warning. It crossed the arena in seconds and hit a man head-on who was too close to react.

It happened in Chinú, Córdoba, during one of the corralejas that bring together hundreds of people every year who are willing to voluntarily enter the arena while the animals are released. The impact sent him several meters through the air and left him lying in front of the crowd. Other attendees ran to help him and used bullfighter capes to keep the bull away as they got him out of the danger zone.

The video, recorded on September 7, 2026 and shared by the account @ColombiaOscura, went viral almost immediately. So far, there is no official identity of the injured man or medical report specifying the severity of his injuries, but the scene reopened a question that is repeated every season: how much longer will people be allowed to pay for tradition with the body of whoever enters the arena?
