Luli Baztan, a mother who shares her day-to-day life on TikTok under the username #lulibaztan, recorded the moment when her grandmother was giving her baby a bottle. Lying beneath the little one like a living pillow was the family’s black dog. While the baby drank his milk with one hand, he stroked the animal’s ears with the other, and the dog half-closed its eyes and stayed still, as if it knew that was its job at that moment.
The scene lasted no more than a few seconds, but it showed something that had been built slowly: a bond that began during the child’s first months of life and turned the dog into a kind of flesh-and-blood stuffed animal, the household favorite.
