With its head pressed against the backrest and steady steps, a little dog makes its way down an avenue in Ecatepec, pushing its owner’s wheelchair.
The moment was recorded in the Jardines de Morelos neighborhood, in the State of Mexico, and reached thousands of people on TikTok. The one pushing the chair is Daniel’s companion, a young man who sells candy in the area. The video’s creator, zairaberenice541, summed it up this way: “with steady steps and an immense heart, it showed the world that love also guides, supports, and never lets go”.
After speaking with Daniel, she said that he also has another little dog who supports him, that both dogs eat meat, rice, and homemade vegetables, and that they don’t take long trips so they don’t get tired. She also said that getting around the city isn’t easy: he almost never finds transportation that accepts his dogs, and his rent costs more because he needs a place where they can all live together.
That’s why she asked people to buy some candy from him or help with a donation to get adapted transportation if they happen to see him.
