The victim only knew that the water didn’t taste right. Reginald Andre Wilson, 30, was the in-home caregiver for a man with physical and mental disabilities who cannot care for himself.
According to Lake Charles police in Louisiana, on Monday, September 14, the caregiver took a bottle, approached a large container, and poured in a substance.

In the video released by the family, he is seen returning the container to the laundry room, shaking the bottle, and handing it to the patient. According to KPLC, he reportedly told him: “Here, drink this” (“Here, drink this”).
The man drank, noticed a chlorine taste, and alerted a family member. When confronted, Wilson reportedly admitted, according to police, that he had put the product in the drink. The victim was evaluated at a hospital and was out of danger.

Wilson worked for the “Heaven on Earth” agency and was arrested on charges of mixing harmful substances, aggravated assault, and cruelty to people with disabilities. He is accused, not convicted. How much is the trust placed in someone who cares for a helpless person worth?
