The incident took place in the TransMilenio system, in Colombia, and was shared on social media in October 2026.
In the video, the woman appears running alongside a man to catch a bus. According to the report, both entered the station without paying the fare.

Minutes later, another passenger, identified as Marta Claudia, decided to publicly confront the situation.
“While some pay, others sneak in”, she complained, pointing to the high-end phone the woman was carrying.
The complainant compared that device with her own, much cheaper phone, and questioned why she had to pay.

“Expensive in your pocket, cheap in your conscience”, she said.
The video prompted mixed reactions. While some criticized the apparent fare evasion, others questioned the decision to expose the passenger on social media.
The controversy comes amid a larger problem: according to figures cited by Infobae, around 262.000 people would enter TransMilenio without paying every day.

The incident sparked a debate that goes beyond the price of a phone: the responsibility to follow the same rules as everyone else.
