Aerial images show entire villages wiped out by the water, streets turned into rivers of mud, and areas that until recently were homes. The toll so far: 390 people dead and 1.400 more are still missing, according to the latest reports.
What makes this tragedy even greater is its scope: the missing people belong to 27 different countries. Among them are 62 Nepalese citizens, 133 Indians, 47 Americans, and 33 Britons, a mix of nationalities that turned a local catastrophe into a crisis felt across the entire world.
