VIDEO | Spanish influencer sparks debate after criticizing U.S. food over the use of hormones and chemicals: “The food here is making me sick”

Legislation on chemical additives in processed foods sparked an intense international controversy in the nutrition sector.

Content creator Carolina Moura posted a video on the TikTok platform in which she claims that food in the United States causes her discomfort because processes are allowed there that in the European Union are classified as illegal for being highly toxic to the human body.

The affected woman explained that commercial poultry meat undergoes disinfection with chlorine to eliminate bacteria, while pigs are injected with ractopamine, a growth hormone banned in 160 countries for causing tachycardia in those who consume this altered meat.
