An extreme adventure ended in panic for Swiss explorer Mike Horn and his companion Fred Roux, who were trying to climb a huge iceberg in the middle of the Arctic Ocean. Everything seemed under control until the gigantic block of ice began to sink while both were still on top of it.

The shocking moment was recorded from a nearby boat and shows how tons of ice begin to move dangerously beneath their feet. One wrong move and they could have been trapped under the ice or fallen into the freezing water.

Fortunately, both managed to get out unharmed. After the scare, Horn summed up the experience with humor: “I shouldn’t have eaten breakfast before climbing. We both survived. Won’t do it again”.
