A fan wearing the Argentina jersey and an English supporter started throwing punches in the north stand of Miami Stadium. 🥊 It happened on Saturday, during the second half of England-Norway, and it took only seconds for two other supporters to join the confrontation.

Private security and local police had to intervene to separate them and remove them from the stadium. The videos, recorded by other spectators, went viral on X, Instagram and Threads within minutes, dividing users: some condemned the violence, while others praised those who tried to stop the fight.

What is concerning is the timing. It all happened days before Argentina and England face each other in the semifinals, this Wednesday in Atlanta. A rivalry that carries the Hand of God, Rattín’s sending-off in ’66 and the shadow of the Falklands. FIFA already knows it has to strengthen security — because if this happened in the quarterfinals, no one wants to imagine what could happen on Wednesday. ⚠️
