Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez finally got married, but despite living surrounded by luxury and having access to some of the most exclusive celebrations in the world, they chose an intimate and simple wedding at home.
The couple held a civil ceremony last August 11 at their residence in Cascais, Portugal, accompanied by their five children. The first images of the wedding have already been shared and show a very different moment from the spectacular wedding many would have imagined for a couple like them.
Georgina set aside the traditional wedding dress and chose a white Gucci skirt and jacket set, while Cristiano wore an elegant beige suit.
The ceremony had few guests and took place in a family setting, with their children as the stars of the moment.
The choice also had a special meaning for the couple: Cristiano and Georgina met a decade ago at a Gucci store in Madrid, so the brand was present in some way on one of the most important days of their relationship.
Although they could have organized a multimillion-dollar celebration, with hundreds of guests and every imaginable luxury, they decided to begin their marriage in a much more private way.
The couple could later hold a larger celebration with family and friends, but for now they chose something much more personal:
