A visit to an animal park in England ended in a tragedy that shocked witnesses. On October 10, 2026, a young man identified by British media as William Chapman entered a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, near Doncaster.
According to witnesses, the man crossed the safety barriers and approached Altai, a Siberian tiger weighing approximately 200 kilos.

Some visitors tried to warn him of the danger, but the animal ended up attacking him. Emergency services arrived at the scene, but they were unable to save his life.
Police confirmed that Chapman had visited the park alone. They also acknowledged that videos of the incident were circulating and urged people not to share them out of respect for the family.
The zoo was evacuated and remained closed while authorities investigated what had happened.

One of the public’s biggest concerns was what would happen to the tiger. However, the park confirmed that Altai was not injured and would not be euthanized for the attack.
Although the young man was seen entering the enclosure, it has not yet been determined what led him to approach such a dangerous animal.
