A young man became the star of one of the strangest videos circulating on social media.
In the clip, recorded inside a gym, he can be seen sitting down while eating wet dog food directly from the pouch, a scene that left those around him completely bewildered.
The most repeated theory was that the young man was interested in the amount of protein contained in pet food. “You can’t imagine the protein”, some users wrote, while others jokingly replied by asking: “How many grams of protein could that have?”.
The truth is that it is a very good question: what is the real protein content of dog food?
Not much, because for every 100 grams of food, there are only 8 grams of protein. For example, with 20 grams of soy meat, you already get 10 grams of protein.
As for the viral video, some people claimed that it was probably all a joke to attract attention or simply a video made for the purpose of being shared.
Comments were quick to split. Some took the scene humorously, while others pointed out that pet foods are formulated to meet animals’ nutritional needs and should not be consumed as an alternative for people.
