A football coach from the Czech Republic made headlines with one of the most talked-about interviews on social media, but not exactly because of his comments about sports.
David Oulehla, coach of FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem, had just lost 3-2 to SFC Opava when journalist Sabina Jákšová interviewed him.
As she asked him questions, he seemed to make a huge effort to look anywhere but at his interviewer. He answered normally, but kept his eyes straight ahead or looked away.
The scene sparked a wave of jokes online. “He’s fighting for his life”, one user commented. Another said “his level of self-control is biblical”.
Some even joked that his wife must be watching the interview.
The video surpassed one million views and turned Oulehla into the focus of an unexpected viral conversation.
Jákšová, who recently joined the club’s communications team, also drew attention for her appearance.
Although the coach did not explain why he avoided looking at her, users found his behavior amusing.
In the end, the defeat took a back seat: according to the internet, the real battle had taken place in front of the cameras.
