Thomas didn’t think twice.
Ben Campbell, a psychologist from Michigan, had bought himself a giant set of false teeth to have a little fun. He left them on the table for just a moment. That was long enough for his Yorkshire terrier to grab them with its mouth and, instead of destroying them as any dog would with a new toy, adjust them to the correct side. There was Thomas, with a white, perfect smile that no human could wear better.
Ben tried to get them back while recording everything on his cellphone, amid laughter that barely let him breathe. “Thomas, what are you doing?”, he asked again and again, receiving no response other than the proud look of the little dog with its new dentures.
The video racked up hundreds of thousands of views and achieved what no quarantine remedy could: bringing a genuine laugh to thousands of families confined at home.
