Panic took over La Ermita church in Colombia when a man of about 30 violently burst into the temple shouting “I am the devil!”, unleashing chaos among praying worshippers and terrified tourists.
The man destroyed almost all the religious figures, including the crucified Christ and historic saints. A spiritual heritage shattered to pieces in minutes.
Witnesses recorded the disaster while the National Police managed to capture him before anyone was hurt. Chaplain Javier Alvarado lamented the attack, attributing it to a severe emotional crisis. Now, the temple is asking for solidarity to restore what madness broke.
