A dog spent more than 3 hours trapped inside a car in an underground parking lot in France where temperatures reached 35 °C. Its barking alerted those walking through the area.

Witnesses alerted the authorities after noticing that the animal was barely enduring the heat. Once they arrived at the scene, they were able to find the owner and rescue the dog. When they managed to get it out, the dog showed signs of exhaustion and a high level of stress. The owner had allegedly left the animal locked inside while carrying out other activities, unleashing a wave of outrage on social media.

Thousands of people are now demanding that the pet be taken away from her and that she face penalties for animal abuse. The punishment could be a fine of 860 dollars and having the animal taken away for up to 1 year.
