Social media has brought back an old clip from the Argentine show “El Show del Problema”, generating millions of views and reactions because of the unexpected revelation one of its participants received.
In the video, a young man named Ángel goes on the show looking for answers about his biological father. For years he had believed that his parent had died in an accident, according to the version he had been told.
However, the most shocking moment comes when the message “We know Ángel’s dad” appears on screen and a woman stands before him. Confused, the young man replies: “I don’t understand”.
Seconds later, he asks in disbelief: “Dad?”, to which the woman replies: “Yes, I am your dad”.
The scene left the audience completely stunned and became one of the most remembered moments on Argentine television from that era.
The clip went viral again on TikTok and Instagram after numerous users recalled that the person who appeared on the show was “La Maciel”, a figure known for her participation in Gran Hermano.
While some users highlight the emotion of the reunion and the courage it took to acknowledge fatherhood despite the circumstances, others simply cannot believe Ángel’s genuine reaction upon discovering a truth that had remained hidden for years.
Be that as it may, decades later, the video still provokes the same thing: surprise.
