Myrna Chavana didn’t think twice. She saw a lost little dog on the street, like so many others she had helped before, and went out to put up posters until she found his family. To her, it was simply the right thing to do. She never imagined that gesture would still be alive nine years later.
At the beginning of September, someone knocked on her door. Myrna hesitated to open it; she didn’t recognize the woman on the other side. When she finally went outside, the stranger had already left, but she had left behind a basket: photos of a dog named Nacho, food from the same brand, a blanket, a candle, and a handwritten letter saying that in 2016 she had returned Nacho after his little adventure, and that thanks to this, his family had nine more years of walks, treats, and unconditional love alongside him.
Nacho had died recently. And that family, before saying goodbye for good, decided to look for Myrna until they found her, just to thank her for the time she had given him.
