The Bareilly resident was trying to secure the tin roof of his property when a hurricane-force gust of wind tore the structure away with him clinging to it. The man was catapulted through the air before falling 15 meters from the initial point, suffering various injuries that have kept him under medical care.
Authorities in India confirm that these weather events have already claimed the lives of 96 people due to falling trees and the collapse of homes in rural areas in the north of the country.
