A security camera captured the last peaceful minutes of Juniper Blessing, a 19-year-old trans student at the University of Washington, before she was killed inside a student laundry room in Seattle.
The footage shows Christopher Leahy, 31, entering and leaving the place several times on the night of May 10. At one point he is left alone with Juniper, looks toward the camera, follows the cable with his eyes, and allegedly disconnects the surveillance system.
Minutes later, another student found the young woman gravely injured after suffering about 40 stab wounds. Leahy turned himself in two days later and now faces first-degree murder charges.
