A video recorded in a greengrocer’s shop in Buenos Aires has become the epicenter of a national debate about discrimination and victimization.
The main figure is Ambar de Leo, a well-known trans influencer, who went through a terrifying moment when, according to her account, she was verbally attacked because of her gender identity.
What has left everyone speechless is not only the initial aggression, but the reaction of the woman who was accused. As soon as Ambar started recording her to report what happened, the woman collapsed on the shop floor, remaining motionless for several minutes.
For many internet users, this is a manipulation strategy so that the aggressor appears to be the victim when the authorities arrive and to avoid the discussion that she started.
The influencer says this is not the first time she has experienced violence, but that the impunity of seeing her aggressor faking a collapse was the last straw.
