It all started as an internet joke. Someone used artificial intelligence to put Erling Haaland’s face into the iconic scene of Latrell Spencer singing “A Thousand Miles” in White Chicks, and put Vinícius Jr.’s face next to him. Haaland and Vinícius saw it and responded with laughter.

The joke kept making the rounds on social media until it reached the ears of the real Latrell: Terry Crews. And the actor didn’t stay quiet.

On Sunday, July 5, while Brazil and Norway were playing for a place in the World Cup 2026 quarterfinals at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, there he was, in the stands, even posing with Ronaldo Nazário before the opening whistle.

On the field, things were less fun for the Brazilians: Haaland scored a brace, Norway won 2-1, and Brazil was eliminated.

But on social media, people were talking about only one thing: the meme had jumped from the screen to the stadium, and Latrell Spencer was there to confirm it in person 🎬⚽
