A New Year’s Eve party in Chelyabinsk, Russia ended in a completely unexpected way when a prank caused a young woman to react by throwing a pot of boiling water at one of the guests.
The woman was identified as Vika, 21, who was cooking buckwheat in the kitchen of her apartment when one of the attendees decided to throw a smoke bomb inside as a prank.
Vika stormed out of the kitchen with a pot of boiling water and threw it at one of the young men who was nearby.
But there was a problem: he was not the one who had thrown the smoke bomb.
The young man, identified as Danil, was attending a party at Vika’s apartment for the first time and ended up with second-degree burns and blisters on his body. According to reports, he had to receive medical attention.
The situation also led to police intervention. The neighbors had already complained about the noise from the party, and officers had previously come to the location. After the incident, they returned to question the attendees.
Vika later apologized to Danil and acknowledged that she was very embarrassed and frightened by the consequences of what had happened. The young man, for his part, said that he did not intend to file a complaint against her.
A prank that began with a smoke bomb thus ended with the wrong person receiving a pot of boiling water in the middle of a party.
