It was January 17, Saint Anthony’s Day in Madrid, when the Canine Unit of the Municipal Police went out into the streets as it does every year for the traditional blessing of pets. In the middle of the work, the canine officer, a Belgian Malinois, stood up, resting both front paws on her handler’s arm. She stared at him while he stroked her and smiled back, as if recognizing someone from the family.
The Madrid Municipal Police shared the video on its social media with a simple title: “true love”. No one staged the scene. She simply wanted to be close to him.
