In Venezuela, a scene that took place during a rescue has become one of the most moving moments of recent days.
Seven days after the disaster, emergency teams managed to locate a young woman alive who had remained trapped under the rubble in the state of La Guaira. Against all odds, she was still conscious and able to communicate with the rescuers.

However, when the time came to pull her out, the young woman expressed an unexpected concern: she was embarrassed to come out because she had lost much of her clothing during the collapse.
That was when one of the rescuers responded with a phrase that quickly began to go viral:
“We are not focused on your body, we are focused on rescuing you.”
The words managed to calm her, and she finally agreed to come out, while the team continued working to bring her to safety. The moment was captured on video and has been shared by thousands of people on social media.

In the midst of a tragedy that has left thousands of victims and an intense search for survivors, the gesture was interpreted by many as a reminder that, even in the most extreme circumstances, empathy can make an enormous difference.
The images have moved users all over the world, who highlighted not only the miracle of the rescue, but also the rescuer’s sensitivity in understanding the fear and vulnerability the young woman felt after spending a week trapped under the rubble.
