The Facebook account of the Villa Altagracia Townhall shared a video that received numerous applauses. It shows a man in a blue shirt demolishing an illegal extension.
The post comes with the following text:
“On the morning of this Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, the person in charge of Public Spaces and director of the Villa Altagracia Municipal Police, Colonel Bishop Florentino, by order of the honorable mayor José Miguel Méndez Restituyo (Luis Pavolo), led an operation to reclaim public spaces on Efraín Antón de Montesinos Street, in the Pajarito sector”.
Public spaces must remain open to everyone.
