She ordered double rice, extra chicken, and extra guacamole, certain that a stranger would cover the bill. When she reached the register, her food cost more than 15 dollars, and the man never came over to pay. She had to pull out her own wallet.
The most outrageous part came afterward: the same man waited for her outside, complimented her, and asked for her number. She rejected him on the spot, annoyed that he had watched her pay alone and still wanted her contact information. The video, recorded in 2024, began circulating again this month and sparked thousands of comments questioning whether looking at someone in line ever amounted to a contract to pay someone else’s bill.
