A 46-year-old woman was arrested in the town of Corral de Bustos, Córdoba province, Argentina, accused of having put rat poison in a coworker’s mate thermos after an argument that took place in a butcher shop.
According to the investigation, security cameras captured the moment the worker handled the thermos when she was alone and even shook it afterward. Hours later, the man began to suffer nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, so he had to receive medical attention for severe poisoning.
After analyzing the footage and finding a substance compatible with rat poison, the prosecutor’s office ordered the suspect’s arrest, and she was charged while forensic examinations continue.
