Natalia Sarahí only wanted to record a TikTok in her kitchen.
She didn’t notice the lock of hair hanging near the running blender. When the blades caught it, the pull was so sudden that she screamed in pain in front of the camera. She managed to turn off the appliance in time, before the scare turned into something worse.
Instead of deleting the video, she uploaded it with a phrase that summed it all up: “What doesn’t kill you, leaves you bald”. The post blew up: more than five million views and thousands of comments ranging from laughter and memes to household safety advice.
Days later, she recorded again, this time without any humor involved. “I know it was reckless, and although I took it with humor, I also learned something important”, she acknowledged, thanking those who taught her how to prevent it from happening again. Her scare ended up reminding millions of something simple: keeping your hair tied back can save you from a bad afternoon.
