Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt is 18 years old and has just filed a petition with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. She wants to remove ‘Pitt’ from her name and keep only Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. The reason stated in the documents is brief: “personal”.
She is not the first. Her sister Shiloh, 19, already succeeded in 2024, just three days after reaching the age of majority. Zahara, 21, recently took a key step in the same process. Only Pax, 23, and her twin brother Knox retain their father’s surname for now.
Vivienne had already been using ‘Jolie’ since May 2024, when she appeared under that name in the program for the Broadway play she helped produce alongside her mother. Brad Pitt has not been seen publicly with any of his six children since 2016. The hearing on this latest change is set for November 2.
