She was on vacation with her five children at a four-star hotel in Marmaris, Turkey, and decided to cover an old ankle tattoo with a new one at a studio located inside the hotel itself. The session lasted two hours, was so painful that she vomited and nearly fainted. She attributed it to low blood sugar.
Days later, the tattoo looked like a black scab that itched and hurt nonstop. Back in the United Kingdom, she ended up hospitalized, and two different surgeons examined her. One gave her the news no one wants to hear: if the infection did not respond to antibiotics, they would have to amputate her foot. 😳
The antibiotics worked in time. But when she contacted the tattoo studio again, according to Kirsty, no one wanted to take responsibility for what happened during those two hours.
