Wade Wilson was 30 years old when he murdered two women in Florida just hours apart.
He strangled the first victim while she slept and stole her car. Hours later, he lured a second woman, strangled her as well, and ran her over several times with the vehicle. He was arrested the next day, but it took nearly five years for the trial to reach a verdict.
While awaiting sentencing, dozens of women began writing to him. They sent him thousands of messages and hundreds of photos, called themselves “Wade’s wives”, asked to have his children, and even bought him clothes for the hearings. Some even wrote to the judge asking him to spare Wade’s life. In August 2024, Wilson was sentenced to death for both crimes.
