Victoria Lerman was 32 years old and had everything ready for her wedding. On February 9, 2025, she was found dead in the bathtub of her apartment in Achinsk, Russia. She had been unconscious for hours in the boiling water, with severe burns on her face and body, and no other visible injuries.
Russian authorities described it as a domestic accident. But her family does not believe that: they pointed directly at her fiancé, a man who served nearly ten years in prison and who, according to reports, was the one who found the body and alerted medical services. A close friend, Anastasia, offers another version: she believes that drug use — drugs were found at the scene — may have caused the tragedy.
Victoria was buried on February 13, exactly one day before the date on which she was going to get married. The case remains open in Russia, and no one has been formally charged so far. An accident or something someone wants to hide?
