Cody Hall was born with a severe facial deformity that distorted the left side of her face. It was thought to be a hemangioma. Doctors in England told her family that nothing could be done until she turned six.

Her parents didn’t wait. They did their own research, found a surgeon in New York who operated on children with severe deformities, and launched an appeal that raised about $303,000. Her first treatment was when she was 12 months old. Then came 18 more operations over the course of 14 years: facelifts, skin grafts, eye surgery, laser treatment.

At 25, Cody works in the surgical unit at her local hospital. She met Lewis during one of her surgeries, about eight years ago, and married him. She cried with joy when she saw him waiting for her at the altar. 💍❤️
