He was born in Melbourne, Australia, on December 4, 1982, without arms or legs.

The diagnosis: tetra-amelia syndrome, a condition so rare that even his own parents did not know how to face it.

Childhood was hard. Bullying, isolation, a sadness that grew ever deeper.

At the age of 10, he attempted to take his own life. He says that what stopped him was thinking about the pain it would cause his family.

Over time, he learned to write, use a computer, swim, surf, and shave, using the only foot he has with two toes.
He graduated in Accounting and Financial Planning, and at 17 he began speaking publicly about faith and resilience.
Today he runs the organization Life Without Limbs, has taken his message to more than 70 countries, married Kanae Miyahara in 2012, and together they have four children.
The child who saw no reason to live is now proof that circumstances do not define anyone’s purpose.
