Chowder was saved from the slaughterhouse and never realized he was a pig.
Shelby Madere brought him to her farm in California and added him to her pack: Rika, Slick, Nya, James, and Bashe. The five dogs welcomed him with affection, and from that day on, Chowder became one of the pack. He sleeps with them, plays with them, and even has his own collar, just like the others.
He spent so much time with the hounds that he ended up behaving just like one of them. Shelby never imagined anything like this. She opened Facebook and Instagram accounts to share his adventures, and today thousands of people follow him.
“When I look at my team, I see a reflection of who I am in them. Their happiness, their safety, their health, their whole lives depend on me, and I will never let them down”, she wrote.
