Cheryl McGregor was 52 when she met Quran McCain at a Dairy Queen in 2012. They both worked at the fast-food chain. He had just turned 15.
Life separated them and brought them together again in 2020. This time they began a serious relationship, and soon afterward they got married. Today she is 66, has seven children and 17 grandchildren. He is 34 and wants something he still doesn’t have: a child of his own.
Cheryl can’t conceive naturally, so they turned to surrogacy. They shared their story on TikTok, where nearly five million people follow them, and showed the ultrasounds.
In July 2024 they celebrated a gender reveal party: it will be a girl. They even bought cars and everything needed to welcome her.
“We feel we deserve to have our own children”, Quran said.
The criticism came quickly. Some tell Cheryl she’s too old to be a mother again, while others insist he’s only after her money, something she firmly denies. She admits she may not be around as long as he is, but says that doesn’t stop her.
