Alex Aspasia, a 31-year-old American model who weighs approximately 172 kilos, found a curious advantage to her weight: she could eat completely free at one of Las Vegas’s most controversial restaurants.

It was the Heart Attack Grill, an establishment famous for its enormous hamburgers and an unusual rule: any customer who weighed at least 159 kilos could eat without paying, as long as they proved their weight on a scale.

Alex took advantage of the promotion for years. She said some of her orders included hamburgers, French fries, and milkshakes that could exceed 3.000 calories in a single meal.

The model says she managed to save about 1.000 dollars a year thanks to this unusual offer.

However, the restaurant was also known for its controversies: its employees dressed as medical staff, and the menu made references to heart attacks.

In May 2026, Heart Attack Grill closed its Las Vegas location after its owners decided not to renew the lease due to rising costs.

Alex lamented the restaurant’s closure, where her weight had allowed her to enjoy free meals for years.

Her story reignited the debate about a restaurant that turned extreme eating into a tourist attraction.
