It all started when her best friend looked at the ultrasound and blurted out a phrase no one could get out of their heads afterward.
Inês, a 26-year-old Portuguese woman, had gone to her checkup accompanied by her husband and her best friend. Everything seemed normal until her friend looked at the image and said the baby looked a lot like Goulash, the family’s rescue dog.
From then on, it was impossible to “unsee it”.
Inês sent the ultrasound to her parents, and her dad came to the same conclusion almost immediately. The perspective was strange (the image had been taken from below the chin to examine the eyes and nostrils), but the resemblance to Goulash’s muzzle soon became the family’s joke of the moment.
Goulash had been rescued when he was just seven months old and, according to Inês, is extremely gentle, affectionate, and a huge fan of sleeping curled up. That’s why she’s already convinced he’ll be an excellent “big brother”.
When she shared the comparison on TikTok, she wrote: “They have the same parents after all”. The video ended up surpassing 1,8 million views and hundreds of thousands of “likes”.
Now the family is waiting for just one thing: to meet the baby in person and see how much of the resemblance survived outside the ultrasound 😂.
